A young person grooming a quiet horse

Experiences / Horse Club

Horse Club

Age-appropriate horsemanship for youth and families — horse care, groundwork, and beginner riding in a choice-centered setting.

Learn beside the horses

Horse Club is how children, teens, and families build real horsemanship: safety, care, groundwork, and beginner riding when it is appropriate for the person and the horse. No prior horse experience is required for introductory groups.

Sessions are small, safety-led, and paced to the actual level in the arena — not a performance, and not a race to “get on.” Horses remain partners. Working with a particular horse is never guaranteed.

Youth and adult programs provide opportunities to learn horse safety, grooming, leading, groundwork, herd behavior, obstacles, barn skills, and responsible horse care. Offerings may include:

  • Youth Horse Club
  • Adult horsemanship
  • Groundwork classes
  • Grooming and mindfulness experiences
  • Beginner riding (once ready to accept bookings)
  • Horse-owner coaching
  • New horse-owner consultation

Ground, care, then riding

Horse care

Grooming, observation, and barn skills taught with calm precision — how to be around horses without rushing them.

Groundwork

Leading, space, obstacles, and communication from the ground. Riding is never the only measure of a good day.

Beginner riding

Mounted instruction when the rider, the horse, and the day support it. Touching or riding a horse is never forced.

Related offerings include Guided Groundwork and new horse-owner consultation. Individual Beginner Horsemanship & Riding is on an interest list until it is ready to accept bookings.

Education, not psychotherapy Horse Club is educational horsemanship and riding instruction. It is not psychotherapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment. Equine-Assisted Learning is a separate, unmounted program — see Equine-Assisted Learning if that is the better fit.
