FAQ
Common questions
Practical answers so you can take the right next step.
Where are you located?
Sessions are in Odessa, Florida (near Lutz). Exact street address is shared when scheduling if privacy requires it.
Do I need horse experience?
No. Equine-Assisted Learning is ground-based and unmounted, and Horse Time & Connection is designed as a gentle first visit. Touching a horse is never required.
What does it cost?
Horse Time & Connection is $50 and Guided Groundwork is $85 per session. Individual Equine-Assisted Learning is $150 for a 75-minute session, or $400 for the three-session Relational Awareness Equine Immersion. Coaching, yoga, and group programs are priced by conversation. See all experiences.
Can I meet the horses?
Yes — Meet the Horses introduces Skipper, Zeus, and Clark, and the gallery shows published ranch photos. Which horse you work beside depends on the session and each horse’s needs. A particular horse is never guaranteed.
What is Horse Club?
Horse Club is educational horsemanship for youth and families — horse safety, grooming, leading, groundwork, barn skills, and responsible horse care. It is not psychotherapy. Join the interest list; dates and pricing are posted when the next cohort is confirmed. Individual beginner riding is listed only after it is ready to accept bookings.
Is this therapy?
No. Handle With Care Ranch provides education, coaching, equine-assisted learning, horsemanship, fitness, and wellness services. These services are not psychotherapy, medical care, diagnosis, or a substitute for treatment from a licensed healthcare professional.
How do I begin?
Book a free 30-Minute Wellness & Ranch Experience Consultation, send a note, or call 727-859-7120.
What should I wear or bring?
Closed-toe shoes are required. Wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor weather; sessions may include standing and walking on uneven ground. Tell us in advance about allergies, accessibility needs, mobility considerations, or concerns about being near horses.
How can I support the mission?
See the Foundation page. Handle With Care Ranch Foundation, Inc. is a separate tax-exempt nonprofit organization created to expand access through scholarships, sponsored participation, veteran initiatives, and community programming as funding becomes available.
What if I’m in crisis?
This website is not crisis care. Call emergency services or the Veterans Crisis Line (988, then 1) if you need immediate help.
